Originally Authorised as PERAK 1875-76, on 1st September 1879 it was eventually issued without the dates.
The clasp covered service between 27th November 1874 - 20th March 1876.
One Victoria Cross was awarded during the campaign to Brevet major George Nicholas Channer, Bengal Staff Corps.
