John Richard Lee-Barber was born in Brandon, Suffolk in 1895. He was commissioned into the 6th Battalion Kings Own Scottish Borderers on 15.3.1915 and went to France on 1.10.1915. According to the Regimental History he was Wounded in Action on 20.12.1915. This was reported on 22.12.1915.
According to the 1939 Register he was a Retired Rubber Planter (this would suggest that he lived in the Far East at some point in his life) living at "Paya Kladi" in Cliff Park Road, Paignton, Devon. He passed away in Torquay, Devon in 1953.
