William Henry Cuss was born in Chippenham, Wilts in 1887. A Labourer on the Great Western Railways, he attested with the 3rd Wilts in 1907. With the outbreak of WWI he went to France with 2/Wilts on 28.8.1914 serving the length of the war there. He was WIA (Shell Shock) on 24.3.1918 and spent several days in various hospitals. He was discharged to the Reserve in 1919.

Awarded the 5th August-22 Nov 1914 clasp and rosette - these are not with the medals.

According to the 1939 Register he was a Striker (Heavy Worker) living at 5 Nelson Street, Swindon.

He died at Swindon, Wiltshire in 1957.

The medals are in good condition unless otherwise indicated. Sold with some copied research.
