John William Murdin (sometimes William John Murdin) was born in Wellinborough, Northants in 1893. He served with the RAMC and the Labour Corps in WWI and was acknowledged as a member of St John Ambulance as early as 1921. He was rewarded for a lifetime of service to St John Ambulance when he was made a Serving Brother in 1964.
According to the 1939 Register he was a Gardener (Private) living at 95 Park Road, Rushden, Northamptonshire. He died in Kettering, Northamptonshire in 1967.
