James Taylor was Alfred James Taylor born in Nursling, Hants in 1895. He served with the 2/5 Hampshire Regiment with nos. 240367 and 1737 and with the 1/4 Wiltshire Regiment with no. 204634 with whom he earned the Territorial Forces War Medal in 1921 (named to the Hamps. Regiment) He was posted to the Reserve on 12.3.1919 at which point his address was 9 Newton Lane, Romsey, Hants. 

Some records have his number as 204034 whilst others have it as 204634.

According to the 1939 Register he was a Brewers Labourer living at 1 Tadfield Road, Romsey. He passed away on 24 August 1975 whilst living at Talks Farm, Martin, Hants.

Sold with some copied research. The medals are in good condition unless otherwise indicated.
