William Perry was born in Edgeware, London in 1880. A Labourer by trade he attested for service in the Anglo Boer War in London on 1 March 1901 and was assigned to the 63rd (Wiltshire) Imperial Yeomanry.

Having arrived in South Africa on 23 March 1901 he was deployed to the field and would have been engaged in the numerous drives in the Orange Free State and Transvaal designed to hem the Boers into a corner thereby ensuring their surrender. He died of Enteric Fever in Kroonstad in the Orange Free State on 2 December 1901.

Medal is in good condition unless indicated otherwise. Sold with some research including copy service papers and medal rolls.
