Victory Medal (2264 PTE. G. FIDO. GLOUC.R.)
George Fido was born in Bristol, Gloucestershire in 1874. He was posted to France with the Gloucestershire Regt on 18.2.1915 and was Wounded in Action (GSW Left Shoulder) on 4.5.1915. He was later transferred to the Labour Corps and then the ASC. Very likely to be 2450 Pte George Francis Fido who served with the AOC in the Boer War and whose Queens South Africa medal was returned unclaimed.
Medals are in good condition unless indicated otherwise. Sold together with copied research. Also entitled to a 1914-15 Star and British War Medal which are not included.
