George Alfred Scott (sometimes Alfred George Scott) served in France from 15.8.1914 with the 20th A/T/ Coy (Plymouth) of the Royal Engineers. He was Mentioned in Dispatches on 12 January 1918 as a Temp Captain and was awarded the Meritorious Service Medal for France whilst a Corporal/Acting Sergeant.
Scott also received the 1937 Coronation Medal as a Sergeant in and was also a Special Constable in the rank of Sergeant.
