Jean Paul Ouellette had a long and varied military career. He enlisted with the Regiment de la Chaudiere in 1940, serving with them until 1944, and then joined the Royal 22e Regiment with whom he served from 1944 until his eventual discharge in 1967, after more than 25 years service.
He was posted to the Italian theatre in March 1944 and was Wounded in Action there on 1 September 1944. Post-war he continued to serve, rising to the rank of Staff Sergeant before his discharge. He was awarded the Canadian Forces Decoration in 1958
Medals are in good condition unless indicated otherwise. Sold with his copied personnel file - some parts of which have been redacted.
