Augustus Hullin was born in Bradford, Yorkshire in 1875. He served in the Anglo Boer War with the 3 Battalion Royal Scots Fusiliers and was awarded the Queens and Kings South Africa Medals (these are not with the group). He was sent to France with the 1 Battalion of his old regiment on 1.4.1915 and died there on 10.4.1917 from Pulmonary Tuberculosis.
His sister, Mary Hullin of 8 St Michael Buildings, Dumfries was his next of kin.
He is buried in the Roman Catholic Cemetery in Dumfries (Holy Cross)
