13737 L/Sgt Thomas William Chick was born in London on 10.6.1895 but had moved to Erdington, Birmingham before enlisting with the 10th Bn Duke of Cornwall's Light Infantry. He went to France on 27.7.1915 and was admitted to No. 43 Casualty Clearing Station on 10.5.1916 with a Hernia (Left inguinal). He had been in the Frontline for 10 months by then.
He was Killed in Action in France and Flanders at the age of 22 on 16.8.1917 and is interred in the Ramscappelle Road Military Cemetery.
