Archibald Watt was born in Edinburgh in 1896. He went to France with the 12th Bn Highland Light Infantry on 19.1.1915 and was Killed in Action on 17.5.1916. His next of kin was his mother, Elizabeth Watt of 2A Greenside Place, Edinburgh, alternatively 5 Greyfriars Place in the same city.
He is remembered in the Bois-Carre Military Cemetery Haisnes
The 12th (Service) Battalion in which he served was formed at Hamilton in September 1914 and came under command of 46th Brigade in 15th (Scottish) Division.
