Sidney Thomas King was born in London in 1894. He attested for service with the 6th London Regiment on 7 February 1911 and was posted with them to France on 18.3.1915. He was discharged to England on 18 February 1916 after 5 years 17 days service on termination of engagement.
He later rejoined the 18th London Regiment with no. 608290 and was Killed in Action in France on 22 August 1918 at the age of 24.
The medals and plaque are indisputably to the same man:
- the Pension Card in the number 608290 (ST King) has his father Alfred Samuel King as next of kin with the address 10 Dawlish House, Pleasant Place, Canonbury
- his service papers in the number 1165 (S King) has his father Alfred Samuel King of the same address as above, 10 Dawlish House, Pleasant Place, Canonbury, as his next of kin.
Medals are in good condition unless indicated otherwise. Sold together with copied research.
