Son: 1939-45 Star; Africa Star clasp 8TH Army; Italy Star; France & Germany Star; Defence Medal; War Medal 1939-45 - unnamed as awarded. Attributed to 5056232 Sgt F.M. Goldstraw. Gordon Highlanders.

Father: Andrew Goldstraw born Leek, Staffordshire in 1879. He served in WWI as a Gunner with the Royal Field Artillery earning the British War and Victory Medals. He was a Tailor at Beaty Brothers Tailors in Hanley. He died in 1945 in Stoke.

Son: Fred Mountford Goldstraw was born in Stoke-on-Trent, Staffordshire in 1915 and served with the Gordon Highlanders in WWII. He passed away in Stoke-on-Trent in 1993. At the time of the 1939 Register he was a Wood Machinist living at 53 Loftus Street, Stoke-On-Trent. He was the Choirmaster at the Bethel Evangelical Church in the 1950's.
