Percy Edward Lloyd was born in Welshpool, Montgomery on 28 August 1896. He attested with the 1/7th Battalion (Merioneth & Montgomery) of the Royal Welsh Fusiliers on 23 February 1912. During WWI he was posted to the Balkans theatre, landing at Suvla Bay on 9 August 1915. From there he was posted to Egypt where, on 5 December 1915 he was admitted to hospital in Alexandria with Rheumatism and Frostbite. His Mention in Dispatches appeared in General Allenby's dispatch in the London Gazette of 5 March 1919 and was for operations between 19 September 1918 to 31 January 1919. He departed Egypt for home from Port Said on 9 March 1919.

According to the 1939 Register he was a Boot and Shoe Repairer living at 117 Headlands, in Kettering. He was also a Special Constable for Northamptonshire.

He passed away on 16 February 1967.

Medals are in good condition unless indicated otherwise. Sold with some research. There are three photos of Lloyd in the frame along with two badges.
