Leonard Francis was born in Hyson Green, Nottingham in 1886. He enlisted in the 2nd Notts & Derby in 1904 and was posted to the Army Reserve in 1912 with an Exemplary Character rating. When WWI broke out he was an early entrant to France on 8.9.1914. He later served with the West Yorkshire Regiment with no. 46602 and was discharged, Medically Unfit, on 13.12.1917 (Intestinal Glasis).
Medals are in good condition on original ribbons. Sold with some copied research.
