William Gibson was born in Scotland in 1896. He served in the Scottish Rifles and was later attached to the Cheshire Regiment, entering the Egyptian Theatre of war on 1 June 1915. He incurred a Gun Shot Wound to his head (date unspecified) and was discharged Medically Unfit on 6 March 1919. He earned the Silver War Badge B207896.

His address in 1919 was 106 Auchtentoshen Terrace, Springburn, Glasgow. 

He passed away at the age of 90 on 11 August 1986.

Sold with some copied research - the medals are in good condition unless otherwise stated. A new piece of 1914-15 Star ribbon is included.
