William Forrest Doughty was born in 1891 in Edinburgh. He graduated from Boroughmuir School with a Master of Arts degree and enlisted with the 3/4 Bn KOSB on 12.11.1914. He was sent to France on 13.12.1917 and was Wounded in Action at Cambrai on 2.10.1918.
Released from service on 31 March 1919 he died at Tarves, Aberdeenshire in 1973.
