Cecil Emrys McQuade was born in Upper Bangor, North Wales in 1897 He enlisted with the RNVR as a Surgeon Probationer in 1917, after qualifying he went to live and practice in Chertsey, Surrey. The 1921 England census has him as a House Surgeon in the General Hospital at Tunbridge Wells.
The 1939 Register has him living at Harcourt's, London Road, Chertsey where he is listed as a Medical Practitioner.
He died in Chertsey in October 1984.
