Charles Frederick Gilham was born in Dublin in 1884. He enlisted with the Bedfordshire Regiment in January 1902 and saw service with them in India for which no medal was earned. He was transferred to the Reserve and discharged, Time Expired in January 1914, only to be recalled later that year when WWI broke out.
He was posted to France on 26.1.1915 and was Killed in Action there on 5.5.1915. He is remembered on the Menin Gate memorial
