Henry William Colgrave served with the RNVR/RND. He was born in Colmworth Hants and enrolled on 19.10.1916 serving with the Royal Naval Division's Nelson Battalion - he was WIA in France on 22.4.1917 and Killed in Action there on 22.10.1917. He is buried in St Julian Dressing Station Cemetery, Langemarck

The Nelson Bn. War Diary 22/10/17 states:- "La Brique Camp. Work continued. [B, C & D Coys working under REs.]. Casualties Temporary Lieutenant P. Bachelor wounded, 4 Other Ranks killed." Henry William Colgrave; A Coal Carter ; b. Colmworth, Hunts. 23/6/1881 ; Next-of-Kin: Daughter, Ellen E. Colgrave, St. Michael's Home, Leamington, Warks.(This man is separated from his wife).
